To help you maintain Total Fleet Visibility, the SkyBitz suite of sensors allows you to track status changes based on particular events. You can decide if you would like to know if a door is opened, if there is a change in the cargo status of a load, or if a trailer is tethered or un-tethered. When the Cargo, Door or Trailer Tether Sensors alerts you to a change in status, you can get this security message sent via email to your computer, pager, or cell phone. All of these sensors provide invaluable tools to help you drive operational efficiencies.

Cargo_sensor

The SkyBitz Cargo Sensor allows you to determine whether a trailer is empty or loaded so you can maximize trailer utilization, improve tractor to trailer ratios and manage trailer detention. The SkyBitz Mobile Terminal is connected by a cable to the Mobile Terminal Interface Module, which is mounted on the trailer roof. The Mobile Terminal Interface Module is connected to the Cargo Sensor, which is mounted in the bulk head of the trailer.

Trailer Tether Sensor (External Power Module)

The SkyBitz External Power Module monitors and logs when a trailer is tethered or un-tethered, and can be configured to electronically alert you of a status change.

As an additional feature, the External Power Module allows you to power the Mobile Terminal from vehicle power when a trailer is tethered to a tractor. The intelligent power system of the Mobile Terminal automatically reverts to its internal battery and your defined power conservation configuration when vehicle power is unavailable
