Mesilla Valley Transportation (MVT), one of the largest locally-owned transportation providers in New Mexico and West Texas, renewed its contract with SkyBitz for all 5,000 trailers.
MVT was able to update its fleet with SkyBitz’s cellular-based Falcon series products without hardware costs by using the enterprise subscription option called SkyBitz as a Service.
“As a company that specializes in time-sensitive service, it’s imperative to know where our assets are at all times and providing access to everyone at every level of our company,” said Royal Jones, co-founder, CEO and president of MVT.
MVT was an early adopter of SkyBitz’s trailer tracking technology.
“Since we began working with MVT in 1999, we’ve witnessed their impressive growth and as their business grew over the years and needs evolved, our technology has also evolved,” said Henry Popplewell, president of SkyBitz.
In addition to real-time tracking as well as trend analytics, the new SkyBitz solution allows MVT to accurately capture and bill for detention by viewing heat maps of idle time on SkyBitz’s web application. MVT can also improve safety measures by looking up a drivers’ location if they are broken down, in addition to preventing theft and in the event of theft recovery.
