SkyBitz Announces Enhanced Enterprise Mobility Solution Integrated with TMW Systems for Transportation Industry

SkyBitz Trailer and Cargo Information Now Available Through TMWSuite

Herndon, Va. and Beachwood, Ohio–September 11, 2012 -- SkyBitz®, the leader in remote asset tracking and information management solutions and TMW Systems®, the leading provider of transportation management solutions, today announced an integrated trailer-tracking solution. The integrated SkyBitz / TMWSuite® solution provides for-hire and private fleet carriers a more robust portfolio of solutions for managing their fleets.

The integration utilizes industry-leading visibility and management services from SkyBitz directly delivering trailer specific information to TMWSuite, driving better planning decisions and improved asset utilization. The integration with TMWSuite is the latest step in SkyBitz’s overall integration efforts with TMW Systems, adding to its existing integrations with TruckMate and Innovative solutions.

The combined solution will provide customers of both companies the ability to centrally monitor and track trailers in TMWSuite to gain real-time operations information, trailer utilization, and location.  Fleet operators will benefit from the following key features:

•    Trailer and cargo status, such as whether the trailer is loaded or empty, if the trailer door has been opened or closed, if a trailer is in motion or stationary
•    The ability to identify the nearest trailers and idle trailers
•    Improved detention billing accuracy
•    Automated yard checks
•    Improved trailer and cargo security and reduction of unauthorized trailer usage
•    Reclaiming unused capacity in the fleet, thereby reducing capital expenses and operational costs
•    Easy access to accurate and real-time trailer location updates

“The TMW / SkyBitz integration has become a useful tool in order to save time for our operations staff to be able to locate our trailers and check status faster, with the click of a button directly within TMWSuite,” said Kate Gardner, Director of Information Technology, Taylor Truck Line Inc. “We no longer need to open a browser to see the location, check the last event or even check the battery status.  The idle trailers are easily viewed and can quickly be exported to Excel for further analysis.  Being able to see the trailer location and events inside the Planning Worksheet is a great asset, especially when the customer is on the phone.  Being able to give them their much needed information that much faster, greatly improves our customer satisfaction.  Anything that can give you an edge over the competition is a great asset to have.”

“Our customers see the need to increase visibility of trailers across their fleet to improve utilization,” said Jen McQuiston, Director, Partner Management, TMW Systems, “The TMWSuite integration with SkyBitz provides customers enhanced visibility to trailer status and activities both in-transit and in the yard to improve planning.”

“We are proud to partner with TMW Systems to bring to market integrated, innovative and efficient solutions to address the unique transportation asset management needs we hear from our customers,” said Henry Popplewell, Senior Vice President and General Manager, SkyBitz.

The integrated trailer tracking and monitoring capability is now available with the most recent versions of TMWSuite General Release 2012. Details on the integration capabilities will be available at the SkyBitz exhibit booth #922 at TransForum 2012, TMW Systems User Group Conference, September 23-26 in Orlando, FL.
